Below are frequently asked questions to assist in your journey.

How do I stack my first code?

When you buy a code from AppSumo, you will get an email from AppSumo enclosing all the relevant details. The first code should automatically be applied to the workspace you create following the link in that email. 

If this is the second code you are buying and you want to apply it to a particular workspace then you can.

How many codes can I stack?

You can stack up to 15 codes on one workspace.

Where do I stack additional codes?

To stack codes on top for an existing workspace, you can go to that workspace, e.g. myworkspace.ideanote.io and then go to Settings > Billing > Codes and Credit.

Please remember to log in using the email address used to create the workspace to access the Billing menu in Settings.

Can I remove codes I have stacked or unstack codes?

No, you can not unstack codes.

Can I create multiple workspaces instead of stacking?

Yes, you can decide to use your stacking codes with 1 code per workspace and create multiple workspaces. To create a new workspace just go to start.ideanote.io.

What is the difference between Basic and Enterprise Analytics?

With basic analytics, you get the default charts on your workspace. With Enterprise Analytics you can add new charts and edit charts.

If I have bought stacking codes for Ideanote in a previous AppSumo campaign, can I continue stacking?

Yes, but you will follow the new feature and usage limits as per the new offer. 

So, if you have 2 stacks on a workspace already from a previous campaign and stack a code on top, then your workspace will have the features and limits as per the current “3 Stacks” limits.

Please remember to log in using the email address used to create the workspace to access the Billing menu in Settings.

Do the AI Credits and In-App Automations reset each month?

Yes. For example with a double stack you will have 250 in-app automation runs and 250 AI Credits for idea and image generation.

How are AI Credits used?

Every time you generate an idea or an idea collection with AI you consume 1 AI Credit.

Does Ideanote support full whitelabeling?

Ideanote lets you set up a custom domain and custom fonts and colors. Emails will not show the Ideanote Logo when sending notification emails but it will still come from an Ideanote email domain. People will still be able to “inspect the code” and see that traffic comes from our servers, so it is never full whitelabeling.

What is an Idea Collection?

Idea Collections is a goal-driven way to collect ideas, centered around a challenging question.

There is no limit on the number of Idea Collections Workspace Owners, Section Owners or Admin Users can create.

You are welcome to create as many Idea Collections as you, your colleagues and organization need.

How do I create an Idea Collection?

  • Click on the plus(+) in the tiled section or click on the Add button located at the search bar level in the Workspace.
  • Select one of the Idea Collections’ templates which are listed by Use-Cases.
  • Use the Standard template* by Ideanote as a starting point and this is your first Idea Collection. You will be able to modify this template after creation if needed.
  • Select the Goal for the Idea Collection

How do I add users?

There are several options available to add and create User Accounts in Ideanote:

Invite - Adding email address + Name of the user + adding a welcome message to be included in the invite notification. You can add one or multiple users using the .csv template available.

To Invite got to Settings -> People -> Click on Add and follow instructions on-screen.

SSO - Connecting your Active Directory with Ideanote.

To set-up SSO go to Settings -> Authentication, select the preferred authentication and follow instructions on-screen.

Shareable Links - Using the Shareable Link at the Workspace level or at the Idea Collection level.

To use a Shareable Link at the Workspace level, go to Settings -> People -> Click on Add and click on “Get an Invite Link to Share”.

To Use a Shareable Link at the Idea Collection level, access the Idea Collection -> Share, go to the Shareable Link menu and click on Add.

How do I share my Idea Collection?

Ideas Collections are created by default as Private

They are only accessible to an audience to join and contribute when you choose to share them when ready.

In the Idea Collection, click on the Share button located on the upper right corner of the screen.

You can search for Members to invite or use a Shareable Link or a Widget.

Can I set up anonymous idea submission or even idea submission without signup?

What is a Guest?

Guests can do almost everything a normal User can do, including submit ideas and add comments.

However, in contrast to normal Users (called Members on the platform), Guests cannot be added to Teams and must be managed individually.

Can I change the name and subdomain of my workspace?

You can change the name and subdomain anytime in Settings > Workspace > Name and Brand. 

The name and subdomain must be available.

How do I set-up a Custom Domain?

Go to Settings -> Workspace -> Custom Domain to enter the domain URL and save.

You will then be presented on-screen with a DNS record to add to your domain  registrar.
