New updates and improvements to Ideanote.

Chart Targets and Bold Field Toggle

  • You can now define targets for Line- and Bar charts inside their settings. These will render lines on charts at the values you want and can be customized.
  • Added a new ‘Show as bold’ option inside ‘Short Text’ form fields for giving users explicit control over whether to present with bold formatting or not on submitted ideas and form entries.
  • Attempting to delete a goal will now produce a warning when an idea collection refers to it.
  • Fixed an issue where templates would count towards the idea collection limit
  • Fixed an issue where no autocomplete suggestions for dynamic variables would be presented for Static fields inside automations
  • Fixed an issue where editing an idea with a ‘Text list’ field would delete its content.
  • Fixed an issue where newlines in ‘Send Email’ would produce double newlines in emails.

Manage Ideas and Full Access Toggle

  • Full Access Mode Toggle: Users with Full Access to Idea Collections can now decide if they want to make use of full editing rights or not.
  • You can now select 'Manage ideas' as a new access setting inside the Share dialog in idea collections. This grants users access to edit ideas, change their phases and update their statuses, but not access to edit the the underlying Idea Collection and its details and settings.

UI and Automation Improvements

  • Fixed an issue where existing attachments could be removed when 'Update Idea' automation actions ran
  • Fixed an issue where 'Send Email' actions with only a subject and an empty body would not be sent.
  • Fixed an issue where [object Object] could appear on ideas and Excel exports for 'Text list' fields when they were empty
  • Fixed an issue where the browser's autofilled value could show on top of placeholder text in email address inputs when the page loaded

SCIM Controls and Form Field Automation Fixes

  • Added a helpful dialog when attempting to delete content that is still referenced elsewhere.
  • Updated the default email interval for notifications of the type “Ideas in followed idea collections.”
  • Changed search behavior on the main page to only show sections with content when searching for idea collections.
  • Changed behavior for SCIM-managed teams: team memberships of SCIM sync teams can no longer be edited inside Ideanote and must be managed via Active Directory.
  • Fixed an issue where “New Idea” and “Update Idea” automation actions wouldn’t run if they referenced deleted form fields.
  • Fixed an issue where special HTML characters like > could appear in some emails.
  • Fixed an issue where values submitted in “SCORE” fields were not numerically sorted.
  • Fixed an issue with checkmark fields using “Show as dropdown” where only one option could be selected.

Improvements to AI, Filters and API

  • Updated Similar Ideas to be able to handle more ideas and re-enabled it.
  • Fixed an issue where if there were multiple visible ‘average rating’ filters, changing one would change all of them
  • Fixed an issue where referencing some keys starting with ‘mission’ via Power Automate and our public API.

Automation Branding, Updates to the Profile Dropdown and View Layout Settings

  • Added the ability to upload logos to automations and toggle 'Show name' in their settings.
  • Added support for applying the Notification 'Workspace Defaults' to users as a bulk action inside People settings.
  • Added support in View Layout settings to let you choose not only whether action prompts are shown, but from which phases exactly.
  • Updated wording of activities and notifications triggered via automations to be more neutral.
  • Updated design of the Profile dropdown for easier access to language, color mode, and other personal settings.
  • Fixed an issue related to SCIM-provisioning when used with the 'Freeze Profiles' security setting.
  • Fixed an issue where SCIM-provisioning failed if the user who originally set up the integration had been demoted.
  • Fixed an issue where SCIM-provisioning didn’t work with email addresses containing mixed-case characters.
  • Fixed an issue where dragging and dropping an image into an Information view would not work.
  • Fixed an issue where deleting the last attachment on an idea via the edit dialog triggered an error.
  • Fixed an issue where updating the logo for a section failed.
  • Fixed an issue where toggling 'Synchronize Team' inside SAML login provider settings didn’t persist after reload.

Text List, Archived Form Fields and Easier Editing for Users With Full Access

  • Added new form field type: Text List.
  • Added support for optional descriptions on rating criteria, shown as tooltips when users rate ideas.
  • Added ability to archive form fields instead of deleting them, preserving submitted idea content while hiding the fields from new submissions.
  • Added datalist dropdowns for editing static ‘Category’ fields when a user with full access edits ideas or form entries.
  • Added support for dynamic variables in min/max dates for ‘Date’ form fields, including referencing other field values.
  • Added ability to customize link color as part of theming.
  • Updated permission logic so that locked ideas and activities can now always be edited by users with Full Access.
  • Updated UI components to clearly display locked or hidden status of ideas and activities.
  • Updated scroll behavior so the scroll position is remembered when navigating back to the home/missions page.

  • Added a new ‘Show during submission’ toggle for Static fields. When enabled, Static fields with a default value defined will be visible during idea submission.
  • Added the ability for users with Full edit access to an idea collection to see and adjust the values of submitted Static fields on existing ideas.
  • Added new audit log activities for when login methods are disabled or re-enabled.
  • Improved accessibility on the Idea Collection page.
