Missions renamed to Idea Collections
In the upcoming days, as part of our effort to make innovation easy to understand, we will rename Missions to Idea Collections. This change aims to make its purpose more intuitive for new customers while maintaining the same functionality. Our help articles will also be updated with the new Idea Collections terminology. We believe that this upcoming update will make Ideanote more intuitive for everyone.

Static Fields
A new type of field that can be used to define values on ideas and form entries that aren't visible to users during submission, and cannot be edited by them afterwards. These can contain constant values, or use Dynamic Expressions to compute formulas, functions, and expressions.
Static Fields, Dynamic Expression Formulas, Co-Owners + Anonymity
  • Added Static Fields: A new type of field that can be used to define values on ideas and form entries that are visible to users during submission, and cannot be edited by them afterwards. These can contain constant values, use real-time Dynamic Expressions and be updated via automation workflows.

Teams vs. Sections
Previously Teams where both for managing users and the location of missions. Here are the changes: 1) Teams are now only used for managing many users at once. You can give entire Teams access to a mission. 2) Sections let you organize missions on the home page, which has no influence on access. You can have as many or as few Sections as you want.
Simple and Advanced Excel Export
  • Added a "simple" idea excel export that only includes essential columns.
    Added more information to audit log to make it easier to read.It's now possible to see failed/succeeded email activities in audit log. Use this feature to understand if emails are blocked by your intranet and why.

Quick Drafts
Quick Drafts let you write down any raw ideas without structure in private. You can turn them into ideas later. You can enable Quick Drafts for your workspace in the security settings.
Quick Drafts and Authentication Improvements
  • Added Quick Drafts: create lightweight drafts and turn them into ideas later. Quick Drafts can be enabled in Workspace security settings; they use AI (when available) to suggest the best matching idea collection and align with its template, with a graceful fallback when AI isn’t available.
  • Added a redesigned global “Add Idea” experience, including creating Quick Drafts directly from the chooser.
  • Added "Drafts" page to sidebar that makes it possible to easily administer Idea Drafts across Idea Collections.
  • Updated sign-in and authentication flows for greater reliability in in-app browsers such as Line or Facebook Messenger.
  • Updated widget configuration: added primary color availability and styling improvements; selected widget button colors now persist across color modes and outlines show only when needed.
